This is a new remastering known as an “Akira Toriyama original cut edition”. Now the Dragon Ball story will be quicked and adhere more with the manga’s story. The will add new footage, new HD remastering, as well as renewed soundtracks and sound effects, and new dialogue recordings with most of the original cast.

The new story will also more closely follow Akira Toriyama’s original manga. Though the series is “new” keep in mind that it has been created from the original Dragon Ball Z footage.
