There have been so many great ways to watch movies and tv shows online for free. With sites like Hulu.com, Crackle.com, and even network stations like CartoonNetwork.com offering free tv shows online it has never been a better time to watch free stuff online.

One thing the networks are realizing however is that this may not be the best way to earn money. As people switch to the internet, they are earning less money with television ads. The internet advertising earns money, but not as much. They will have to come up with a new model for watching tv shows and movies online, or a new advertising method.

Could we expect to see longer internet tv ads? Probably. Expect different tie in offers, and more annoyances, but is this price we have to pay to watch tv on demand? Maybe.
