New Intel chips are going into televisions allowing them computing power bringing internet, and extra video features into every television. This now brings moore’s law to apply to televisions as well.
“By the year 2015, you can expect 12 billion consumer devices capable of delivering television content with 500 billion hours of video content in the cloud,” predicted Justin Rattner, the chief technology officer of Intel.
The idea of what a television is, is rapidly changing. Now a television is going to become an internet connected device with an intel chip that increases in speed along with computers.
