Episodes of the series Highway Patrol are online to watch.  High Patrol first aired 10/03/1955  as an action / adventure series.

In Highway Patrol we find Broderick Crawford staring as Chief Dan Matthews. He played as the commander of the police force in a Western state, which in the show isn’t identified.  He needs to be always in control and always at the scene of the action.  One thing that made Highway Patrol unique was that it often shot scenes outside the studio which at this time most series stayed inside the studio.
