I was looking for a free vpn service for watching the BBC iPlayer abroad for some time now.  Fortunately I found a VPN service that seems to be a solution.  FreeVPN offers an absolutely free vpn service for connecting to USA, UK, and Canadian VPN services.  Fortunately FreeVPN has allowed my to watch the BBC iPlayer while living in the United States.  No word as to whether Zattoo works, another way to watch the BBC online, but so far at least the BBC iPlayer and the itv player seem to work.

Getting freevpn to work isn’t a real challenge.  All it takes is downloading the program and then installing it.  After running the program it will appear in the bottom right hand corner.  Just click it and select the vpn in the country you want.
