Finally we have a box fit enough to watch Boxee right on our TV. However you’ll need a TV with an HDMI port to watch Boxee. The official release contains the following connectors: (according to the Boxee Blog)
* HDMI – one inexpensive HDMI cable
* SPDIF – hi-definition digital audio
* Stereo Audio (RCA)
* 2 x USB ports
* Wireless 802.11n & Wired Ethernet
* RF Remote Control
It has been reported that such a box would cost around $200. It should be released soon sometime in early 2010. Most of what Boxee’s software contained will be in the new boxe version, however it has been rumoured that Hulu won’t be immediately supported. Without Hulu the boxee tv box seems a lot more worthless. We’ll have to wait and see what Boxee contains when it’s officially released.
