Is it worth saving some money working online and living in a second or third world country? Those that work on the internet have the freedom to live where they want, so many do go overseas and try saving money by living in a third or second world country like Chile, Brazil, or even Thailand. But is it worth saving money in one of these countries and living your life fulltime there?
There are both benefits and negatives to just picking up and moving to a third world country.
Keep in mind that the less stuff cost, usually the more run down the place is. Do you mind living in those kind of conditions. The kind where you have to bribe the cops, the sidewalks aren’t paved properly, and there are poor people about.
Some things the first world provides, though you pay more for it, is security, less crime, and less beggars. The biggest problem I had with third world and even second world countries was the poverty. You noticed the poor people everywhere. Places like Argentina with a 40% poverty rate you really see who is poor. People will beg from you constantly.
In first world countries like London, you save less, but everything around you is cleaner, safer, etc. So while you save less, you get comforts in other ways, from the world outside where you live.
