As Larcher from hulu said “We are talking to everyone. The UK is our number one priority in terms of international expansion. We are very interested in the UK. We hope in the very near future we will have some plans to reveal for the UK. [The] UK is very ready for a product like Hulu.”

Already BBC has placed video online as well as iTV and Channel 4. Hulu could essentially partner to provide this content as well as other global content from possibly providers like Fox.

It is TV ads which keep a show afloat and these shows manage the most money for ads in a half hour of air time. It is also this reason that these shows continue to stay on the air while other shows whither and burn, getting canceled left and right. In fact, those shows which are popular online, but fail to make money on air, usually get canceled, due to the lack of funding to keep the shows going.

A tv.com estimate of how much money the most popular tv shows make in a half hour:

1. American Idol–$7 million
2. 24–$3.7 million
3. Desperate Housewives–$2.9 million
4. Grey’s Anatomy–$2.7 million
5. Two and a Half Men–$2.6 million
6. Dancing with the Stars results show–$2.5 million
7. Dancing with the Stars performance show–$2.4 million
8. Heroes–$2.1 million
9. Brothers & Sisters–$2.1 million
10. Survivor–$2.1 million
11. CSI–$2.1 million
12. Extreme Makeover: Home Edition–$2 million
13. Worst Week–$2 million
14. House–$1.9 million
15. Private Practice–$1.8 million

After having personally watched X Men Wolverine Origins, I see no reason why this film should do terrible at the box office. Let’s just hope it fares better than the Spirit, which seemingly failed at the box office. If you do downloaded the film or watch the prereleased copy, keep in mind that some of the special effects haven’t been finished. Some flying scenes also are still 3d models that are not yet finished. I’ve also heard that an entire 10 minutes of footage is missing from this version.

Disney is slowly coming to Hulu and YouTube after striking a deal that would bring Disney content online to both providers. Already Disney has content online to watch, but is limited to only the Disney.com website as well as ABC’s website and ESPN.

The deal with bringing Disney online to Hulu means that finally shows from ABC could be watched directly off of Hulu, rather than having to navigate through ABC’s own website. ESPN would also most likely be part of the deal, considering that Disney owns both ABC and ESPN.

The real winners in this deal? You of course. This means more content in one location making it easier for you to switch away from tv and watch your favorite disney shows free.

Mark Cuban recently declared his own war on free tv online, demanding that networks stop putting free content on the internet. Mark Cuban that free tv online will only kill networks in the long run as he says happened with newspapers. He went to say that newspapers made the original sin of putting their content free online, something which has been hurting them.

As Mark Cuban stated “Our check goes to pay our bill. The money then goes to pay for the tv network, which in turn goes to pay for the content. Its a system that works. Like any good system, there are those that want to have their cake and eat it to. The content we pay for ? They want it for free. We pay for it, they want it for free.”

However ask yourself why people are switching to watch tv free online? Maybe the crazy expensive cable bills that keep rising aren’t helping?

Fortunately no one seemed to agree with Mark Cuban, with some users asking what he was “smoking”.

Boxee and Hulu have been battling it out with Boxee finding work arounds to let users watch tv online using Boxee and Hulu having to counter these efforts since the big tv executives over at places like NBC don’t want users watching content through Boxee. Why? Boxee makes it too easy for users to watch online tv in a tv like experience.

Internet TV advertising doesn’t pay out close to what advertising on traditional tv airwaves do, so many broadcast companies need to find a better solution than just blocking internet tv web browsers like Boxee.

As soon as TV style advertising and prices arrive on the internet we are going to constantly see battles between services making the internet more TV like, Boxee, vs companies providing their content on the web, Hulu.

It would access publically available feeds. Once again Hulu managed to block access. Although again, Boxee made another workaround that managed to allow users to once again be able to see Hulu.

As Boxee recently wrote, now there is a status message on the top-right corner indicating whether Hulu is currently available on boxee.

Boxee seems to be taking this serious finding whatever it can to keep Hulu on it’s platform. It’s not as if Boxee is really doing anything illegal since all of this information is publically accessible. Why should one browser be blocked from accessing Hulu just because it provides a more TV like experience? Those cable companies must be really scared now…
